Aluminum, fiberglass and vinyl roofing materials are most commonly used today on RV roofs. Those materials absorbs heat quickly, can puncture easily, have seams that will contract and expand, causing cracking and leaking in the roof and like fiberglass roof, when damaged, it is expensive to repair. Sometimes it is cheaper to replace sections than to repair.
